75. John Doyle was born in 1748. He died on 3 Jun 1837 in TN. possibly married twice. Was in the Revolutionary War. It is not known where he was born or if he came here with the British and changed sides here.
Was mustered out in MD area about 1780. Not known where he spent the next 20 years but showed up in Knoxville, TN about 1800 without a wife but with 7 kids. He did receive a land grant for services in the war and the land was located in Knoxville. Today that land is where he is buried and half donated to the city of Knoxville as the Doyle Park. THere is also a Doyle High School in Knoxville named for a decendant of Old John.
Kids were born from 1784 to 1799.
John remarried Eva Fromwalt in 1824 and his kids were grown then. He died 13 years later.

83. Solomon OSBORNE was born in 1766 in Near Dungannon, Scott Co. VA. He died on 9 Oct 1852 in Pike Co. KY. In 1850 Solomon Osborne at 82 years old lived with George Tackett and wife Hannah (his daughter)
84. Hannah BOWLING was born on 18 Apr 1766 in Salisbury, Rowan Co. NC. She died in 1850 in Indian Creek, Pike Co. KY. 1850 census has Hannah living with John McCown and wife Mary. (relation unknown)

87. Moses D. DAMRON was born in 1735 in Abemarle Co. VA . He died in 1812 in Grayson Co. VA, inherited his father's estate in his will in Abemarle Co VA, on Red Bank and Damron Creek. 1749. There is no record of the sale of any land by Moses. His plantation was near Scottsville, VA, and not far from the plantation which Peter Jefferson, father of Thomas Jefferson, bought from Noble Ladd on the James River.
In 1786 Moses had the first deed recorded in Russell Co VA. on Clinch River adjoining Henry Hamblin. In 1798 he was in Fleming Co KY. His wife was then named Sarah, but in 1786 it had been Aggie. It is difficult to distinguish between the activiites of Moses Sr. and Jr. but in 1812 Moses Damron ws deeded 100 acres on Shelby Creek, Floyd Co. KY. by David Morgan. James and Richard were also in Shelby Creek. In 1819 Moses Damron SR. made an affidavit in Floyd Co KY, so Moses Junior must also have been alive at that time. We do not know all his children.

88. Aggy (Ogle) OWL was born in 1737. She died about 1786. Moses D. Damron had the following children:
i. Capt. John DAMRON was born on 12 Jan 1757 in Northumberland Co. VA. He died aabout 1836 in Johnson Co. IL. He married first Anne Ladd and later a second wife, having twenty children. His will was dated 1835, Franklin Co IL. He joined up as a drummer in 1776 with Capt. Thomas Walker of the 9th Virginia. He was raised in and near Albemarle Co. VA. He was taken prisoner at Germantown, at which time he must have been with Morgan's Riflemen as most of his company had been selected for this unit in 1777. In 1778 he was with Capt Henry Dudley's company in the 2d Virginia State Regiment.
He was listed as "sick at Valley Forge", and left behind with five other men, but in 1778, Sept 8, he joined up for another two years. In 1780 he was in Washington Co VA. from which Russell was cut off in 1786. In 1791, he bought 170 acres on Clinch River, Russell Co VA from Vanhook assignee of Moses Damron. In 1792 he was ensign of the county militia. In 1794 he was lieutennant of the 2d Battalion, 72d militia; in 1810 he was noted as having been Adjutant for the year 1805. in which year he probably left Russell and went west to TN and IL. Some of his decendants continued to move west till they became pioneers as cattlemen in the Imperial Valley, CA, some of these being still alive in 1954 in CA.
ii. Lazarus DAMRON was born about 1765. He died in 1829 in Wayne Co WV. Was a famous indian scout and Revolutionary War Soldier. He came to KY around 1804 with 6 sons. In 1805 his wife was Nancy and he was living in Floyd Co KY. He was supposedly one of the soldiers at Blackmore's Fort in Russell Co VA after the Revolution.
iii. Moses DAMRON was born in 1768. He died in 1828. He married Jennie Mullins in 1812 in Floyd Co KY. They took their children to IL in 1826, probably to join the family of Capt. John Damron, and both parents died on the way, leaving the young orphans to travel back alone. Moses, William, Solomon, Sarah, who married Thomas Owens, sheriff of Pike Co KY, Louisa and Elizabeth.
iv. George DAMRON was born about 1769. He died about 1816 in New Madrid Missouri.

vi. Nancy Ann DAMRON was born in 1774 in Grayson Co VA. She died in 1858 in Pike Co KY
